The 14th and penultimate round of this UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup season took place on French soil in Flamanville on 16 January. Alongside the castle of Flamanville on the Normandy coast, riders and spectators enjoyed a fast but above all beautiful course.
Women Elite
Already in the first round, the youngsters distinguished themselves from the other ladies in the field. And that was also according to the expectations of fans and experts. Both Puck Pieterse, Fem van Empel and Kata Blanka Vas were tipped to win in Flamanville. And after an exciting battle between Pieterse and Van Empel, which the latter won, not much later Vas crossed the line in third place. Want to know how the round went down?
Men Elite
Eli Iserbyt was in the lead right from the start of the race. After a small duel with teammate Laurens Sweeck, he accelerated. Sweeck eventually dropped to fourth place, while Michael Vanthourenhout and Toon Aerts competed for second and third place. Curious to find out what the podium turned out to be like?
