Mathieu van der Poel brimming with confidence in BenidormMathieu Van der Poel (Alpecin - Deceuninck) sprinted to victory in a lightning-fast and incredibly exciting race under the Spanish sun. He crossed the finish a few metres ahead of Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma). Eli Iserbyt (Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal) joined them on the podium. Laurens Sweeck (Crelan-Fristads) finished fourth and is the overall winner of the 2022-2023 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup.

Van Empel wins thrilling battle for victory in BenidormThe first World Cup race on Spanish soil since Igorre in 2011, was absolutely Fem van Empel’s thing (Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal). She beat compatriots Puck Pieterse (Alpecin-Deceuninck) and Shirin Van Anrooij (Baloise Trek Lions). This win secures Van Empel’s overall victory in the 2022-2023 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup.

After Dublin, Van Aert also best in the 'Kuil'In Zonhoven, Wout van Aert took his second win of the season in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup. The Belgian champion soloed to victory and pulled ahead of his rival Van der Poel, who was forced to surrender a position at the front after a crash. Sweeck completed the podium.

After an absolutely thrilling first half, Van Anrooij was able to strengthen her lead in the second half of the race. She beat Pieterse and Van Empel.

Van Anrooij solos to second World Cup win of the seasonDutch rider Shirin van Anrooij has given herself a nice Christmas present. In Gavere, she won her second World Cup round of the season finishing solo. On a tough and muddy course, she left behind her teammate Brand. Pieterse took third place on the podium.
