In mid-January, the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup swaps mud for sun and sand. On Sunday 17 January, the riders will battle for the win in Benidorm, Spain. Last year, Lucinda Brand and Mathieu van der Poel raced to victory on the Costa Blanca. Who will be the fastest under the Spanish sun this year?
By train
Take the Tram Metropolità d'Alacant. Line 1 takes you from Alicante to Benidorm Station. From there, it's just a few hundred metres' walk to the course. Line 9 runs from Dénia to Benidorm Intermodal, which is about 1.5 km from the course. You can find more information here.
