It’s not only your last chance to see the heroes of cyclo-cross in action in Belgium in the World Cup, with four fan zones, the atmosphere is set to be top-notch once again!

Want to see Mathieu van der Poel in action one last time on Belgian soil in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup? You can on Saturday 24 January in Maasmechelen. The Limburg round is celebrating its fourth edition this year and has already captured the hearts of many cyclo-cross fans in recent seasons. World champion Van der Poel hopes, just like last year, to celebrate victory once again and take another step towards overall success in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup.

Lucinda Brand, meanwhile, is dominating the World Cup season, but the Dutch rider has never managed to win in Maasmechelen. Despite already being certain of overall victory, the penultimate women’s round promises plenty of excitement.

Four fan zones full of atmosphere

That Limburg and the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup go hand in hand was already proven by the fans earlier this month in Zonhoven. Anyone looking for a unique experience will also be in the right place in Maasmechelen, with no fewer than four fan zones.

Three DJs and a double passage per lap make for the perfect party formula in the festival tent. At the MaasMagische Secret Bar, conviviality takes centre stage in the heart of nature. You’ll enjoy not only the beats of DJ Deux Promille, but also two passages per lap. Want to watch the specialists slice through the sand? Head to the lounge tent “De Zandbak”. And for families, the family zone is the ideal spot: thanks to a large screen, you won’t miss a second of the action.
