On 28 November the track in Besançon was part of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup for the first time ever. Strong riders Lucinda Brand and Eli Iserbyt were the fastest in the French mud.
Women Elite
Lucinda Brand won the eighth round of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup in Besançon, France. The world champion rode alone from start to finish. The battle for the other places on the podium was harder. In the end Canada's Maghalie Rochette and Dutch Denise Betsema were able to join Brand on the podium. Also curious about how the race went?
Men Elite
Toon Aerts found a circuit in France that was tailor-made for him and quickly took the lead in Besançon. The Belgian increased the pace considerably halfway through the first lap. That was the sign for Iserbyt, who did not start so well, to move up. The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup leader had to close a gap, but eventually caught up with Aerts. Read more?
