After a controlled yet devastating solo of five laps, she could step onto the top podium, ahead of Aniek van Alphen and Shirin van Anrooij.

On Sunday 7 December, the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup will touch down in Terralba, on the Italian island of Sardinia. There, the cyclo-cross peloton will face a fast 3.1-kilometre course where sand sections and park passages alternate.
