After an exciting race, Thibau Nys sprinted to victory in Dendermonde. On the ultra-fast course, no one was able to force a decisive breakaway. In the end, the Belgian champion edged out Tibor Del Grosso and Laurens Sweeck after an extended final-lap sprint.

Just like in the previous World Cup rounds, Lucinda Brand proved untouchable in Dendermonde as well. After an opening phase in which Fouquenet set the pace and split the peloton, Brand took matters into her own hands. Less than half a lap later, the Dutch rider had moved to the front, ready for yet another solo ride this season. She went on to win ahead of Pieterse and Fouquenet.

Mathieu van der Poel remains flawless in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup. After victories in Namur, Antwerp and Koksijde, the world champion also triumphed in Gavere. On a fast course, he stayed in the background until three laps from the finish, before dealing decisively with Thibau Nys.
