Dublin, Maasmechelen and Gavere added to the 2022 - 2023 UCI Cyclo-cross World CupFlanders Classics and the UCI welcome Dublin (Ireland), Maasmechelen (Belgium) and Gavere (Belgium) to the 2022-2023 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup. The Irish round will fill up the missing spot on the 11th of December. Maasmechelen on the other hand will replace Rucphen on the 30th of October, while Gavere will do the same for Dendermonde on the 26th of December.

Lucinda Brand wins the final ranking for the 2nd year in a rowJust like Eli Iserbyt, winner of the men’s final rankings, Lucinda Brand was assured of final victory in the 2021 - 2022 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup even before the final round. And after a great second place in Hoogerheide, she finished her World Cup season with 432 points. That was 71 points more than Denise Betsema, who finished as runner-up. Winner of the GC also wins in HoogerheideIn Hoogerheide Eli Iserbyt closed his World Cup season today like he began it a few months ago in Waterloo: with his arms in the air. After a particularly exciting race, the winner of the final classification in Hoogerheide won with a few seconds advantage on Van der Haar and Pidcock.

Marianne Vos wins last round in HoogerheideIn Hoogerheide in the Netherlands, at 1.40 pm the elite women were competing for the last time in the 2021-2022 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup season. After an exciting race with a nice elite group that thinned out as the race progressed, it was Marianne Vos who decided in the final lap to do full justice to her new national champion's jersey and ride solo to the finish.

Iserbyt is victorious in FlamanvilleHis final victory in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup was already a foregone conclusion, but today in Flamanville, Normandy, Eli Iserbyt showed once again why he fully deserves that jersey and final victory. After 8 fast laps he finished just under a minute ahead of Toon Aerts. Michael Vanthourenhout finished third.

Van Empel the fastest in the final sprint with PieterseThe three youngsters Puck Pieterse, Fem van Empel and Kata Blanka Vas were tipped in advance for the round in Flamanville, France. In a breathtaking setting, they each lived up to their role as favourites. After an exciting sprint with Pieterse, Van Empel finished on the top step of the podium. Vas crossed the line 23 seconds later in 3rd place.

After the mud of Besançon, the snow in Val di Sole and the Camiels Carrousel in Rucphen, this is the fourth new arrival in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup. Normandy as a backdrop for a cyclo-cross, we are already looking forward to the penultimate event!
