The Dutch Lucinda Brand is in a great form and she proved that once again in Tabor. In the first UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup round of the season she was the best, before world champion Alvarado and Denise Betsema. Because of her victory she is also the first leader in the rankings.

Exceptional circumstances call for exceptional measures, as is the case for the 4th round of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup on 3 January in Hulst. Because a safe organisation is an absolute priority in the current health situation, the race will take place in Perkpolder: a green location outside the centre of Hulst.

As from the season 2020 - 2021, the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup can count on the support of new partner Ethias, one of the largest insurance companies in Belgium. Ethias, known in the world of cyclo-cross, enters into a 3-season agreement with organiser Flanders Classics.

The fifth round of the 2020-2021 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, scheduled for Sunday 6 December, will move to a new location due to unforeseen circumstances. The provincial domain in Wachtebeke will be replaced by Grembergen, municipality of Dendermonde.

After the changes made by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) on the road and mountain bike calendars, the 2020 Cyclo- cross World Cup has now also been reorganised as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Specifically, this change means that the series will start at the beginning of November and that there will be 11 races instead of the 14 initially planned.
